Chemtex manufactures Descalents which dissolves, disperse or purge scales in heat exchangers & pipelines.

Heat exchangers & pipelines are an essential element in chemical industries. They are known to accumulate rust, scale & soil deposits from time to time.Descalants or Descaling Agents are chemical compounds that effectively dissolves, disperse or purge these scales, rust and soil deposits from by means of re-circulation method, fill and soak method or immersion method.

Proper Corrosion Inhibitors are added in descalants to avoid damage to system metals. After acidic descaling of system, it is important to passivate and neutralize the system with proper Passivating Agents for avoiding chances of flash rusting after descaling.

In some cases Scale Softeners and mechanical means like brushing and scrubbing of tubes is also required for heavily fouled systems.

The dosing of these chemical is a  labour oriented job & requires huge downtime.Due to this the use of alternatives such as Online Descalants and Antiscalants are getting popular.

Chemtex offers a wide range of descalants under its registered trade names of ALSTASCALE for:-

  • ·       Heat Exchanger Descaling Chemical (Condenser Descalant)
  • ·       PHE Descalant (Plate Heat Exchanger Descaling Chemical)
  • ·       RO Membrane Descalant Cleaner
  • ·       Inhibited Sulfamic Acid Boiler Descalant
  • ·       Boiler Online Sludge Conditioner Descalant

TONO FROST 593: The Ultimate NSF-Certified Solution for Food & Beverage Heat Transfer

In the world of food and beverage processing, maintaining thermal efficiency, ensuring product safety, and minimizing operational downtime are all non-negotiable demands. Whether it’s for cold storage, chilling equipment, pasteurization lines, or fermentation control, the choice of heat transfer fluid can significantly impact both performance and compliance. TONO FROST 593 , developed by Chemtex, is an NSF HT1-certified inhibited propylene glycol solution engineered to meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and efficiency in food-grade environments. What is TONO FROST 593 ? TONO FROST 593 is a blend of food-grade propylene glycol and a corrosion inhibitor package designed to provide: Long-lasting protection against rust, scale, and corrosion Stable thermal conductivity Wide temperature operability Food safety compliance for indirect contact In a market flooded with products, NSF certification stands as illumination of reliability and trust. Unlike many pre-inhibited glyco...

Acid Coil Cleaner leaves the aluminum surface clean and shining bright

Improper refrigerant levels, dirty coils, and worn out compressors or condensers can result in inefficient performance of air conditioning system. An inefficient system tends to force the compressor to work harder than is required decreasing its life span and thereby leading to higher energy bills. The primary energy required in operating an air conditioning system comes from the compression of refrigerant. The hotter the compressor receives the processed refrigerant, the more energy is necessary to force it through the condenser. The refrigerant needs to become cold enough to absorb more heat from the process, therefore an external chiller such as an open evaporative condenser or air blast unit is required. It is crucial for effective air-conditioning operation that the condenser is able to easily reject heat through the cooling airflow and the heat exchanger coils. Energy consumption builds up as the refrigerant vapor pressure increases, where the refrigerant is not sufficien...

How RO Antiscalant works?

Reverse Osmosis technology provides an efficient and reliable method for purifying water for various purposes). It can remove impurities such as salts, minerals, and other contaminants as well as microbial contaminants from the Membrane. Water molecules pass through RO membranes despite dissolved solids and other contaminants being rejected by the membrane. RO membranes are basically thin, dense, and semi-permeable membranes. However, the major significant challenge in Reverse Osmosis System is Scaling. Why does it happen? The formation of scales on the RO (Reverse Osmosis) membrane is primarily caused by the presence of certain dissolved minerals and salts in feed water. Scale refers to the accumulation of mineral deposits, such as calcium carbonate, calcium sulphate, and silica which can severely impact the efficiency and the lifespan of the RO membrane. RO Membrane scaling may lead to cause ·          Excessive Energy Consumption...
