Excellent Efficiency Flocculation with Polyelectrolyte

Polyelectrolytes are regarded as polymer chains with an electrolyte group on every repeat unit. When dissolved in a polar solvent, these polymers are charged due to dissociation of small counter ions that leave behind a charged macro ion. Polyelectrolytes include biologically important molecules such as polypeptides and DNA. These are referred to as polymers that are generally used for water purification. These are highly noted for their beneficiary nature of handling problems of slow settling of flocs in water at low temperature, treating soft colored water where they increase toughness of the flocs and enhance its settlement ability.

Polyelectrolytes are formulated in a way so as to be used as coagulants and flocculants as well as a sludge dewatering agent in the waste water treatment plants. Polyelectrolyte, thereby, plays an indispensable part in the sludge conditioner formulation.

Generally flocculation occurs owing to charges present on the particles. Generally, Polyelectrolyte can be differentiated into 3 types based on the charge present on it. These are Non-Ionic Polyelectrolyte, Anionic Polyelectrolyte, and Cationic Polyelectrolyte.  In practical cases, charges are present on the impurity particles and electrostatic interaction occurs between these particles and polyelectrolyte.

Excellent Efficiency Flocculation with Polyelectrolyte is a well known function of this product that is offered by Chemtex Speciality Limited. It acts as a decolorant, and is effective in algae growth inhibition and organics removal. It can completely replace Alum or PAC. Polyelectrolyte can be safely used for the disinfection of potable water. It finds applications in variable sectors such as water treatment, mining, cosmetics, textiles, soil treatment, paper making, oil industries, etc.

Chemtex Speciality Limited manufactured product Polyelectrolyte serves as a strong cationic radical polymer based coagulant that has been specially designed for complete or partial settling of water soluble matters, organics, and suspended solids in the effluent water through electro neutralization and bridging absorption. Bridging absorption takes place when long chain polymers get absorbed on the particles in a pattern such that it forms loops and tails extending some way in the solution. At this stage, particles are said to be re-stabilized.

H2S – A Silent Ultimatum to Oilfields

H 2 S Scavenger Chemical – Introduction The world has witnessed a substantial increase in E&P of crude oil to meet the need for globalization, leading to drilling of ‘deemed undesirable’ sites, owing to the presence of higher concentration of acidic gases like hydrogen sulphide, carbon dioxide, etc. These hazardous gases require proper measures before disposal or scavenging. Of these, Hydrogen sulphide/ H 2 S is the most threatening one, especially in confined or ill ventilated places. The characteristic rotten egg smell makes H 2 S recognition easy even at lower concentrations. Hydrogen Sulphide is toxic, acidic and extremely corrosive at higher concentrations. Heavier than air, it is found more near base level of the working sites. Then comes its inflammability, which may cause explosive reaction with air molecules. With peroxides, ammonia and other oxidizing chemicals, H 2 S often goes through combustible reactions,

Chemtex Cooling Tower BioDispersants are chemical compounds that are dosed in cooling tower water to prevent fouling of system

Some systems in chemical industries   are mainly comprised of Cooling water. These cooling water is continuously fed through various circulation pipes. The system comprising of such cooling water in huge amount needs to be cleaned in regular intervals.Otherwise various biological microorganisms such as algae, slimes & bacterial deposits are known to get accumulated. These microorganisms are known to cause MIC(Microbiologically Induced Corrosion) In such a scenario biocides can be fed but they are unable to remove biofilms . Chemtex Cooling Tower Biodispersants are very much able to remove such biofilms. They are also extremely compatible with all types of biocides. Cooling tower biodispersants indirectly does collaborative job with biocides in these two ways. ·          It increases the efficiency of biocides & microbiocides. ·          It reduces the quality of biocides to be dosed in cooling tower water. Chemtex manufactures dispersants & biodispersa
