Antiscalant Dosing with Chemtex Chemicals

Scale and Corrosion is considered a curse to all industries, be it large or small. Due to their subjection to water systems, heavy metal installations, industries face a huge annual loss due to these complications as they have direct implications on the production rate and outcome. Formation of scales cause severe metal lining problems, decrease in fluid flow rate, pitting and perforation, pore throats, wear and tear, machinery failure and primarily first stage of corrosion (in most cases). Antiscalant dosing is preferred over other conventional treatments in counteracting scaling and corrosion. The primary reason being its simplicity and effectiveness over particulate matter deposition and cost efficiency. Most antiscalant chemicals work on adsorption mechanism, where they get adhered to the surface, preventing any interaction between inorganic salts and surface lining, ensuring lesser accumulation, lesser precipitation in the feeding solution, and ensuring prolonged

Chemtex manufactures RO Membrane Antiscalants for inhibition of scale fromation in RO feed water.

A membrane is a thin, film-like structure that separates two fluids. It acts as a selective barrier, allowing some particles or chemicals to pass through, but not others. Various types of crystal growth activities occur on these membranes.RO feed water membranes are known to accumulate huge quantity of calcium sulfate scale which is very difficult to be removed. ALKRO range of RO Antiscalants or Antifoulants are very effective for the prevention of these inorganic scales. Chemtex manufactures these RO Antiscalants or Antifoulants which surpasses the performance of other antiscalants (such as Perma-treat 191 etc. of Nalco) under stressed conditions of high pH. ALKRO antiscalants also effectively stabilizes metal ions to prevent fouling of the membrane. Dosage: ALKRO antiscalant or antifoulant chemical is normally fed continuously prior to the final cartridge filter. It should be injected by chemical dosing pump from a dilution tank or directly from the drum to t
